West Bengal Board of Primary Education has recently published a notification for the WB Primary TET 2022. The board will conduct a new Teacher Eligibility Test(TET) this year. WB Primary TET 2022 Notification
The abbreviation of TET is the Teacher Eligibility Test. According to the NCTE rules, an educated person can be a teacher with professional training and qualified for TET exams in India. So, it is one of the mandatory parts of eligibility for teaching posts.
On the other hand, a candidate has to fulfill some other eligibility condition before appearing on the tET exams. Primary Schol teaching posts in West Bengal WBBPE recruit teachers and take WB Primary TET occasionally. The WBBPE recently published a notification for taking a teacher Eligibility Test in the current year. They have mentioned the eligibility details and the procedure’s event in the newest advertisement. All the details are provided below.
Educational Qualification for WB Teacher Eligibility Test
Becoming a teacher the candidate must have professional teacher training such as B.Ed, D.El.Ed, B.Ed(Special Education) or equivalent besides formal educational qualification. All are below.
- The candidates should be a 10+02 exam passed and at least score 50% marks. And also qualified D.El.ED. Fifty-five marks will be relaxable for the candidates of reserved groups.
- Graduation with least 50% marks and B.Ed. NCTE should recognize the B.ed. Special B.Ed qualified candidates can also apply for the WB PrRCI and must be recognized by RCI.
- Candidates who have appeared in the final exam of professional teachers trainigs can be applied for this test.
Application and exam dates
The application submission will start on 14th of October 2022. The deadline did not mention on the official WB primary TET Notification in 2022, but the exam date was declared. And it will be taken on the 11th of December 2022.
Exam Syllabus and Marks distribution
The WB Primary TET will be taken like the CTET Exam Syllabus. There will be 150 total marks, and the qualifying score is 60%. Though candidates of reserved categories will get 5% marks relaxation. That means participants will be treated as qualified when they score 90 out of 150 marks. For the reserved candidates, it should be 82.5 out of 150. Let’s look at the below for mark distribution.
