English Summary

The second funnyincidenthappened on a rainy afternoon. Bhola Grandpa excitedly told the narrator’s father and his friends that he had seen a gang of pirates burying a large box under a dune on the seashore. The father and his friends immediately started digging for the hidden treasure.

They searched all evening. As night fell, moonlightbroke through the clouds, and jackals started howling. Finally, past midnight, Bhola Grandpa confessed the truth: there was no real treasure. He had just dreamt about the pirates during his midday nap!




The story then shifts to the Sunderbans, where Royal Bengal Tigers used to roam freely in the dense jungles. One evening, Bhola Grandpa was returning from the weekly market. Suddenly, he heard a deep growl just five yards behind him. He turned around to find the bright, staring gaze of a Royal Bengal Tiger fixed on his face.

সন্ধ্যা গড়িয়ে রাত হলো। মেঘের ফাঁক দিয়ে চাঁদের আলো আসছিল এবং শিয়ালের ডাক শোনা যাচ্ছিল। অবশেষে মধ্যরাত পার হওয়ার পর, ভোলা দাদু স্বীকার করলেন যে আসলে কোনো গুপ্তধন নেই। তিনি দুপুরে ঘুমানোর সময় (midday nap) স্বপ্নে এই জলদস্যুদের দেখেছিলেন এবং সেটাকেই সত্যি ভেবে বসেছিলেন!
