Some days after the funeral, a special train carried Gandhiji’s ashes to Allahabad. The compartment was decorated with flowers, and people sang bhajans throughout the journey. However, she soon roused herself. She realized that Bapu had not lived and died for nothing. Her values were not so weak that she would lose courage easily.
